I logged onto a pandaran, a blood elf, and a human, I mined on all of them, no mining sound on any of them.
I asked my guildies and bnet friends, no one has mining sound. They asked if my drivers were up to date, they are up to date, but on twitter seemed to believe this issue was driver related. I tweeted customer support about this but 9 times out of 10 they want you to go to the forums. Upright orc here, no mining sounds since patch 8.0. Guess my Orc's hunchback isn't cured after all. I confirmed when switching back that upright posture disables mining sounds for some reason.
